If you’ve been following along, you know that we recently announced the addition of Andrew, our product photographer; as well, we recently shared about the necessity of product photography for your brand/business. Today, we’re sharing the details behind a recent product photography production for Park Square Social.
Park Square Social is a restaurant & bar located in Lithia. They focus on a modern, fun twist in their menu and their space. They want all of their customers to “eat, drink, and socialize.” They also do this through a variety of fun events and themed nights like karaoke and throwback dance parties.
Two Stories Media was on site for a single day production with Andrew, our food stylist Kasey, and a grip for lighting. Our team was tasked with bringing the products and vibe of the restaurant to life through product photography.
We shot on the Sony A7RII using a 60mm prime. This created a nice soft background that could still be understood in the photos. We utilized a food stylist to bring quality and details out in the various dishes. Andrew focused on bringing a bright and airy feeling within the photography – mimicking the vibes as if the viewer was in the restaurant. By using various lights and a softbox which allowed us to create shape and highlight the textures of various dishes.
The photos needed to be an extension and enhancement of the brand. Therefore, we chose to use the restaurant as the backdrop. This aids in brand recognition for Park Square Social and adds visual interest, too.
