Lens Rental FAQ
Which kits cover full frame?
The Blazar Mantis anamorphics, DZOFilm VESPID primes, Laowa Ranger zooms, and Laowa Macro Probe all cover full frame. The Cooke miniS4/i primes, ARRI Ultra Primes, and DZOFilm Pictor zooms are Super 35. The IronGlass rehoused Soviet primes cover Super 35 up through large format.
Do you carry anamorphic lenses?
Yes. The Blazar Mantis kit is a set of 1.33x full frame anamorphic primes that deliver a 2x anamorphic look, with amber flares and oval bokeh from a 14-blade iris.
I want a vintage look. Which kit should I ask about?
Start with the IronGlass rehoused Soviet primes: original Soviet glass in modern stainless PL housings, known for dreamy flares, swirly bokeh, and painterly texture. If you want modern glass with vintage leanings, the DZOFilm VESPID primes are a solid middle ground.
Can I get macro or probe shots?
Yes. The Laowa 24mm Macro Probe focuses from 2:1 macro out to infinity through a 40cm waterproof barrel with an LED ring light built into the tip. The LED runs off an external USB battery, so bring one or ask us about power on pickup.
What mounts do the kits come in, and do they pair with your cameras?
PL is the house standard across the lineup. Several kits go further: the Pictor zooms swap between PL and EF, and the Ranger zooms ship PL native with an EF bayonet in the box. Every kit pairs with our cinema camera, lighting, and G&E van rentals out of Tampa Bay.
