Every van rental rolls with at least one qualified TSM crew member (a DP, camera operator, gaffer, or equivalent), so the gear stays in expert hands from load-in through wrap. Scale up from there with our full crew network. Same call sheet, same standard, one point of contact.
We built these vans for our own shoot days first. That means the layout, the labeling, and the load order all come from crews who use them every week, not from a rental catalog.

Van Rental FAQ
Which van tier is right for my shoot?
The 1-Ton covers about 75% of production needs and fits tight locations and small-crew days. The 2-Ton covers about 95% and is the most-booked rig for commercials, branded content, and events. If you’re running a large crew, heavy rigging, or multi-set builds, ask about the 3-Ton. Tell us the shoot and we’ll size it honestly, even if that means the cheaper van.
How does the van get to my set?
The van always comes to you. Your TSM crew member brings it to set at crew call, staged and ready before the day starts, anywhere in our service area.
Do I need to book a crew member with the van?
Yes. Every van rental requires at least one qualified TSM crew member to operate the gear on set: a Director of Photography, camera operator, gaffer, or an equivalent technical role. Production assistants do not qualify. It keeps the gear in expert hands from load-in through wrap.
Is lighting included with the van?
Every van includes two Nanlite Forza 60C fixtures. All other lighting is a la carte so you only pay for what the shoot needs. Day rates are listed in the lighting menu above, or tell us your plan and we will spec it with you.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as your dates are firm. The 2-Ton books heaviest, especially during peak season. Send your dates and we’ll confirm availability and hold the rig.
What exactly is a G&E van?
A grip and electric package on wheels: lighting, stands, frames and rags, flags and nets, dollies, rigging, distro, and expendables, organized in one truck. It is the backbone gear a professional set needs beyond the camera itself.
