IMG My Legacy Series

IMG My Legacy Series

If you live in or near Bradenton, Florida you more than likely have heard of IMG Academy.  Or if you happen to pay attention to where some of the best athletes in the world train, then you may know about their world-renowned boarding school and noted sports camps.  As it states on their website, “IMG Academy is the world’s most prestigious sports, performance, and educational institution. Established in 1978 with a pioneering concept known as the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, IMG Academy has since grown to become a global phenomenon.” Many amazing student-athletes have developed or sharpened their skills at IMG Academy and IMG My Legacy Series was developed for IMG’s student-athletes to share some of their amazing stories.

My Legacy

Two Stories Media worked with IMG Academy to create the IMG My Legacy Series.  Where we had the great fortune to feature these amazing student-athletes that are related to some very successful athletes.  These student-athletes are striving to carve their own path, following in the footsteps of their famous relatives. They have an outstanding support staff and insight on what it takes to be an elite athlete.  It is truly remarkable to hear what they want to do as they develop and refine their skills.

ProductionIt’s All About The Timing

TSM was contracted to do six videos in the My Legacy Series.  The production of these six videos took place over the course of four days.  In this production, we had to be flexible with the timing.  It became somewhat of a well-choreographed dance between TSM and IMG Academy’s production coordinator to ensure everyone was in their proper location at their scheduled times on the correct days.  Each sport has its own schedule for its athletes and it has to work with their school schedule as well.  Ultimately, this meant we could not extend our time with each student-athlete.  If the interview was to conclude at 1:00 pm then that was what had to happen.

The student-athletes that we had the pleasure to interview and highlight their story include:

Faith Johnston, Soccer, her mother is Shelly Ripple Rogers, a 7x NCAA Champion in swimming, 17x All-American at Stanford, and is currently the CEO of Crawfish Aquatics.
Jackson Werth, Baseball, his father is Jayson Werth, 16 year MLB OF and 2008 World Series Champion.
Jett Howard, Basketball, his father is Juwan Howard, the current Head Coach at Michigan, and #5 overall pick in the 1994 NBA draft.
Madi Fowler, Track and Field, her brother Bennie Fowler, current NFL player, and 2016 Super Bowl Champion.
Martin Damm Jr., Tennis, his father Martin Damm Sr. won a total of 40 titles in doubles, including one Grand Slam title. He reached five singles finals.
Mia Justus, Soccer, her cousin is Tim Howard, widely considered to be one of the greatest goalkeepers in American soccer history and was named to the 2003–04 PFA Premier League Team of the Year and was awarded the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup Golden Glove

Each of these student-athletes is amazing.  TSM was honored to help these young athletes share their legacy with you.  We are excited for them and we look forward to seeing them live out their dreams.  Let us know how we can help you with an upcoming project.
